My main yarn craft is crochet - which I love! I can do basic knitting & purling, although I'd love to be able to do more. I used to knit & crochet a little when I was a child, but then I didn't do it for a long time. I picked up crochet again a few years ago & found that it was very easy for me. Knitting - not so much. I want to know how to knit, though, so that I can do projects that involve both crochet and knitting, although it'd be cool to be able to knit just to be able to knit all sorts of things that I see and like. :)

I'm all about fiber crafts and knitting. Once I even knitted at a bar. Okay multiple times. Right now I am creating a scarf for my nephew and working on a hat. Pictures coming soon :) Thanks for having me here!

My mother used to knit and as a child I 'trained' a bit with her but unfortunately I forgot everything. Now I would love to learn again...Any suggestion about how I should start?

So quiet!  What is everyone knitting?

I've no children of my own, but lately I seem to have MANY fertile friends, so I've been knitting lots of booties. Very quick and fun, instant gratification projects!

@Lisa Swigert: Have you visited TONS of free patterns available and a pretty good social network for knitters. So glad you found knitting - it's the best therapy I know!

My name is Debbie and I knit and crochet things for charity. I work with a local Project Linus group in Queens, NY. I am also a member for AC4C an online charity group where every month we send things to a particular charity.
