Hi everyone! I am a Canadian living in Northern Ireland and I would love to hear about your challenges living outside of Canada! I find my biggest challenge can be the people who tell me I am mad to have left Canada to come here! I tell them that I wouldn't be here if I didn't like being here. WHat about everyone else? ;-D

So, I'd love to hear from any or all of you. How did you end up where you are? What are your biggest challenges? What do you love the most. What do you absolutely detest? What do you miss. What part of your new culture do you love to embrace? Are you working there? If so what do you do? How do you spend your time. What are your interests and passions? I could go on- however, I'll let you catch your breath! Hope you get a discussion going. This place is pretty quiet.

Hi everyone. I'm a Canadian living in Mexico (San Miguel de Allende GT), building a little house and having a blast. How did you choose South Korea Mountainmama? I'd love to hear about it.

Hi everyone,
I'm a Montana girl living in South Korea - the mountains to the concrete. That's why I'm trying to stay positive - this is helping!! (Hey, that was positive, wasn't it?!! =) )

You know, I never tire of the canals and canal houses. The downtown is really beautiful. :) But I *do* miss seeing this from above sometimes. ;)

Oh, yeah... we've got hills (and stuff)... but you've got those neat canals and awesome dutch architecture ! (:

Ohhhh... how wonderful. :) You get to have hills and stuff. It is *completely* flat here.

I think it probably helps since they probably get an ear for the language. . .

Oops, I 'live' in the Rhone valley... hehe, 'love'....

I love in the Rhone vallley, on the ardeche side, in a village between Montélimar and Valence.

I know what you mean about tie flying - I've been here seven years now, which freaks me out when I think about it !

I noticed though that a lot of the tv programming in The Netherlands was in languages other than Dutch. I always thought this may be a part if why they're so good with languages.... what do you think?
